Bristol is Britain’s hot air ballooning capital, delivering up a magical mix of cityscape and natural wonder in a ballooning experience full of excitement, colour and contrast.
As long as the wind is heading in the right direction you’ll be starting your hot air balloon ride from the magnificent Ashton Court Estate.
The Estate has recently seen some major changes. The Clarken Coomb Lodge has been completely restored. Two new car parks have been created and our launch site is being landscaped. Most recently the Estate has opened a Farm Shop selling local and Fair Trade products.
Ashton Court is a popular venue for weddings, parties and other special events, including the Bristol Balloon Fiesta. Hidden in the further reaches of the park is a wonderful miniature railway boasting model, steam, diesel and electric trains.
Flying across the city, you can snap up many of the city’s unique landmarks - the SS Great Britain (winner of Enjoy England 'Attraction of the Year' 2007), St Mary Redcliffe, the bustling harbour side or the tranquillity of the mist-covered water as it flows gently beneath Brunel’s celebrated suspension bridge. Have fun spotting places you know or have visited – or track our city odyssey on your own ordnance survey map.
This flight has something for everyone, capture the bustle and excitement of one of Britain’s liveliest cities from a unique perspective – on a clear day your view extends from one side to the other, offering a tantalising glimpse of the coast line of South Wales and the distant spires of Bath.
