Hot Air Balloon Rides in Swindon

Champagne Balloon Flights over Swindon

Until the mid 1800’s Swindon, a small market town, was used mainly for the barter trade. The original town is now known as Old Town. With the arrival of the Great Western Railway in 1840 a new town was created between the railway works and Swindon Hill (now Swindon Town Centre).

Your balloon flight will launch from Lydiard Park.

Lydiard Park is part of an estate, which belonged to the St John family, the Viscounts Bolingbroke, for over 500 years up until 1943. It was then rescued from ruin by the Swindon Corporation who restored the Palladian House and opened it to the public in the 1950’s. In 2005 work began on the landscape restoration project, to date many significant 18th century landscape and architectural features have been restored.

The parkland itself is visited by around a quarter of a million people a year who enjoy the picnicking on the lawns, walking in the woods and feeding the ducks on the lake. We’d like you to enjoy the park from a different view – high above on a balloon flight! Come flying with us from Lydiard Park and take in the breathtaking views – prehistoric sites and areas of outstanding natural beauty.
